Facilitator-written, engagement-focused group therapy curriculum designed to reduce burnout and improve client participation across levels of care.
Group Room Gold exists because my experience as both a clinician and a recovering addict exposed a system where clients cycle through the same groups delivered in a single learning style, leading to disengagement or confusion about the purpose of group itself, while clinicians run multiple groups a day with barely enough time to eat, let alone prepare, eventually losing their connection to the work they once cared deeply about.
Treatment programs are facing a shared reality: clinicians are overwhelmed, group engagement is declining, and clients are cycling through treatment without meaningful impact. This is not about bad clinicians or bad programs, but about systems that demand volume without supporting quality.
Group Room Gold provides facilitator-written group therapy curriculum that supports multiple learning styles, reduces preparation time, and improves client engagement while maintaining clinical integrity and ASAM alignment.
Group Room Gold is designed for clinicians, facilitators, clinical directors, and program leadership working across detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and telehealth settings who want effective, human-centered group work without burning out their staff.
Serena Pierce, Certified Addiction Professional, brings over 20 years of clinical experience across all levels of care. As both a clinician and a person in recovery, Serena created Group Room Gold to protect both clients and clinicians by improving engagement while reducing burnout.
